Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our MRI concierge service — booking, safety, results, and more.

General

VietWellness Tour is a full-service health check package that helps you arrange an MRI scan quickly and easily. You don't need to research or handle any paperwork — we take care of everything. You get priority booking, a personal concierge, wellness gifts, and a premium spa massage after your scan. Everything is arranged so you feel relaxed and well-supported.

We support you from A to Z: choosing the right MRI, booking quickly, guiding you on how to prepare, handling check-in, and having a concierge accompany you from pickup to the hospital and back. After the scan, you receive your results with an explanation from the radiologist. If anything looks unusual, we'll help connect you with the right specialist.

We offer multiple MRI packages: Brain MRI, Spine MRI (cervical, thoracic, lumbar — or a full 3-region combo), and Full-body MRI (brain, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and full spine). MRI may help identify abnormalities that require further evaluation. If you only want one specific area (liver, kidney, joints, breast, etc.), we can still book it quickly and advise on the most suitable MRI type.

Our main service focuses on MRI screening. Blood tests are available as an add-on. If you want them, we can arrange sample collection at the hospital, performed on internationally standardized equipment for accurate results.

Yes. VietWellness Tour includes a relaxing massage session at a premium city-center spa. You can do it before or after your MRI. It's a wellness add-on to help you relax and recharge — not a medical treatment.

Not required. But if you have prior scans, test results, or prescriptions, you're welcome to share them. They help our team understand your overall health and compare with new results for a more accurate evaluation.

Both packages offer the same MRI clinical quality and full concierge support. Classic uses partner hospitals at international standards with a more standard hospital environment. Premium uses higher-tier hospitals with quieter, more private spaces and more flexible scheduling — for a more refined experience.

Typically from around 6 years old, depending on the hospital's protocol and the child's ability to stay still during the scan. Younger children may need special support or sedation, which is decided by the hospital. If you have a specific case (young child, elderly, underlying conditions), please share the details and we'll advise you further.

MRI during pregnancy — especially in the first trimester — requires careful review by the hospital. From the second trimester onward, non-contrast MRI is generally considered safer, and our screening packages do not use contrast agents. Please inform us in advance so we can coordinate with the hospital and follow their clinical guidance before scheduling.

All packages include the MRI scan fee at the hospital, except the Basic package (booking support only). For all other packages, the price covers personal concierge, transportation, and the MRI fee — so there are no extra hospital charges to worry about.

Yes, urgent and same-day support is available. Premium packages at higher-tier hospitals are more likely to accommodate last-minute slots. There's no extra fee for urgent booking. Please let us know 6–8 hours in advance so we can arrange your concierge and secure your slot.

Very suitable. The service is designed so international visitors can complete a health screening quickly while continuing their trip. We coordinate the MRI appointment, transportation, and spa around your schedule — ideal for medical tourists, business travelers, or short vacations in Ho Chi Minh City.

Yes. The massage session is a complimentary wellness add-on. If you don't need it, you can simply choose not to use it.

No. MRI is painless and non-invasive. You just lie still during the scan. The machine makes noise, but the hospital provides headphones or earplugs to keep you comfortable.

MRI does not use X-rays or ionizing radiation. For our standard screening packages, no contrast injection is used. If contrast is ever clinically needed, the decision is made by a doctor and discussed with you beforehand.

Booking Process

Just a few basics: full name and year of birth, phone/WhatsApp number, the package you'd like, your preferred date/time, and pickup location. If you have prior medical conditions, medications, or old scans, please share them so we can advise more accurately.

Yes. You can pick the date and time you prefer. We'll check availability at partner hospitals and secure the most suitable slot for you.

It depends on the package. For the Basic package (booking support), the full service fee is required upfront; MRI or test fees are paid directly at the hospital. For all other packages, no deposit is required — you pay the full service fee when you meet your tour guide on the day of the MRI, before heading to the hospital.

Yes. Basic package: free rescheduling if you inform us at least 6 hours in advance; no refund for cancellation. Packages with MRI: free rescheduling if you notify us at least 8 hours in advance. Cancellation 5+ days before the appointment = 100% refund; cancellation within 24 hours to 5 days = 50% refund; cancellation under 24 hours = no refund.

Ideally 1–2 days in advance to secure your preferred time slot. For same-day bookings, just message us and we'll check availability and arrange it as quickly as possible.

If you notify us at least 24 hours in advance, we can usually secure a suitable slot. For very last-minute requests, we'll try to coordinate with another partner hospital to keep your preferred schedule. Share your available time and we'll arrange the best option.

Yes. Send us the list of names and preferred times. We'll arrange schedules for each person and assign the right tour guide so the whole group is supported smoothly.

Yes. We'll align the MRI schedule with your travel dates, advise on transportation, and arrange a tour guide to pick you up at your chosen location. Just share your itinerary and we'll handle the rest.

After your booking is processed, we'll send a confirmation via WhatsApp or email — your choice. Please review the details and reply to confirm.

Usually no. For certain MRI types or specific tests, the hospital may ask you to sign a consent form. If so, we'll let you know in advance.

Yes. We'll call or message you at least one day before your scan. If you'd like reminders closer to the appointment time, just let us know.

Yes. After booking, we'll send clear instructions about clothing, items to avoid (such as metal), documents to bring, your tour guide's contact, and directions to the hospital — so the process is quick and smooth.

Brain / Spine / Whole-Body MRI

A brain MRI provides detailed images of the brain and its blood vessels. It may help identify findings related to stroke risk, tumors, inflammation, microvascular changes, brain atrophy, or causes of headaches, dizziness, or sleep concerns. Final interpretation is made by the radiologist.

A spine MRI shows discs, the spinal cord, and nerves clearly. It may help identify herniated discs, bone spurs, spinal stenosis, inflammation or tumors, vertebral slippage, and nerve compression. It can be useful for people with persistent neck or back pain or long-term desk work.

A whole-body MRI scans key regions in one session: brain, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and the entire spine. It provides a broad overview of your body and may help identify abnormalities for further evaluation — without requiring multiple separate appointments.

If you have symptoms in a specific area (headache, back pain, numbness…) or a known condition, a single-area MRI is usually enough. If you want a broader screening, evaluate multiple regions at once, or have a complete overview of your health, whole-body MRI is a better choice.

No. MRI shows internal structures and abnormalities, but a full check-up also includes medical history, physical exam, blood and urine tests, and functional measurements. Whole-body MRI is excellent for early screening but doesn't replace a full clinical exam.

No. MRI uses no X-rays and no ionizing radiation — it uses magnetic fields and radio waves. Suitability for children or during pregnancy is always reviewed case-by-case by the hospital.

Usually 15–45 minutes depending on the area. Multiple regions or whole-body MRI may take 60–90 minutes. The process is simple — you just need to lie still.

No fasting is required for standard MRI screening packages. Some abdominal or pelvic protocols may have specific requirements — if so, we'll inform you in advance. Just avoid metal items and follow the prep instructions.

No. You'll need to remove jewelry, watches, cards, phones, and anything metallic, because MRI uses a strong magnet. The hospital provides lockers to store your items safely.

Yes — in most cases. Staff will guide your breathing, reassure you, and provide earplugs or headphones, and they monitor you throughout the scan. For severe claustrophobia where you can't stay still, please tell us in advance so the hospital can review options before scheduling.

Our standard screening MRI packages are non-contrast. Contrast is only considered when something abnormal appears and a doctor determines it is clinically needed. Any contrast decision is reviewed and discussed with you beforehand.

MRI may not be suitable for people with older pacemakers, certain implanted medical devices, metal fragments in the eyes, or specific metallic implants. Severe claustrophobia that prevents lying still can also be a limitation. If contrast is needed, kidney function may also be considered. Please share your situation so the hospital can review and advise.

Standard dental implants are usually MRI-safe. However, certain metal crowns or older magnetic types may cause image distortion or may not be suitable for some sequences. Please tell us the type you have so we can verify with the hospital.

Yes, the machine makes loud tapping sounds, but it's normal and harmless. The hospital provides earplugs or headphones to keep you comfortable.

Depends on the hospital. Some offer soft background music or headphones with music to help you relax.

Most reports are ready within 6 hours; complex cases may take up to 24 hours. You'll receive a detailed digital report in English and a link to all your MRI images — which you can keep, share with your doctor abroad, or review anytime. If you need results urgently, just let us know.

Yes. The radiologist explains the findings in the written report, and our team can help walk you through the report in simpler terms. For specific clinical decisions, we coordinate follow-up with a specialist.

The report will explain the finding and suggest next steps, such as seeing a specialist or doing further evaluation. We can help coordinate a specialist appointment, or you can use the report to continue care with your doctor at home.

MRI may identify suspicious masses or structural abnormalities, which makes it useful for early screening. However, MRI alone cannot confirm cancer — a specialist must review the findings and recommend further tests, such as biopsy or follow-up imaging, to reach a diagnosis.

There is no one-size-fits-all interval. For most people, periodic screening is reasonable, and your doctor can recommend an interval based on your age, risk factors (family history, prior findings, long-term stress, occupational risks), and clinical history.

Blood Tests

We offer two blood test options. The basic package covers general health screening with key markers such as liver and kidney function, thyroid hormones, blood sugar, cholesterol, anemia, hepatitis screening, and inflammation markers — suitable for an overall health check. The advanced package includes everything in the basic package plus cancer markers for organs such as liver, stomach, colon, pancreas, lungs, ovaries, breast, and prostate. Final marker lists are confirmed at booking.

Yes. Our packages are already comprehensive, but if you'd like to add specific tests, just let us know. We'll arrange them and confirm the price before proceeding.

No fasting is needed for the MRI itself. For certain blood tests (especially cholesterol or blood sugar), we'll guide you to fast for about 8–10 hours so the results are accurate.

It's very quick. The blood draw itself usually takes about 3–5 minutes, and the whole process is around 10 minutes in total. You can then proceed to your MRI scan right away.

If any values are abnormal, the doctor will clearly note this in the report and include recommendations on next steps — such as which specialty to see or whether further tests are needed. Final medical decisions are always made by a qualified doctor.

Yes. The advanced package includes tumor markers for organs such as liver, stomach, colon, pancreas, lungs, ovaries, breast, and prostate. Important: tumor markers are screening indicators only — they cannot confirm or rule out cancer on their own. Any abnormal result requires follow-up evaluation by a specialist.

The package includes thyroid hormone tests (TSH and FT4). For other hormones such as reproductive or endocrine hormones, just let us know and we'll quote the additional tests for you.

Do not stop or adjust medication on your own. Please follow your prescribing doctor's instructions, and let us know which medications you're taking so we can coordinate with the lab if any specific test requires special preparation.

Yes. Blood tests can be done normally during your period, and results are generally not affected. Some urine tests may be influenced, so if your package includes urine testing, we'll advise on whether to reschedule or how to handle it properly.

Yes. The basic blood test package includes the key markers used to evaluate liver and kidney function.

Spa Wellness

The spa service includes a relaxing full-body massage focused on muscle relaxation, stress relief, and overall recovery. Depending on the program, it may include oil massage, hot stones, or other relaxation techniques. This is a wellness experience — not a medical or therapeutic treatment.

The spa session usually lasts about 60–90 minutes, depending on the service package.

The spa treatment is pre-designed to fit the overall schedule and timing before or after the MRI scan, so we don't support switching to a different treatment. If you don't wish to use the spa service, you can simply skip it.

Either is fine. You can choose to do the spa session before or after your MRI scan, depending on your schedule. We'll arrange the timing in the most suitable way for you.

Yes. The spa treatment is suitable for both men and women — it's a neutral, wellness-focused massage designed for relaxation and recovery.

We partner with trusted, high-quality spas located in the city center for convenience and consistent quality. You just need to show up and relax — everything is taken care of.

Yes. The treatment is a gentle relaxation massage. When you arrive, please inform the therapist about your health condition or any areas to avoid, and they'll adjust the pressure for safety and comfort. This is a wellness experience, not a medical treatment.

Yes. Before the session starts, you can tell the therapist whether you prefer light, medium, or strong pressure — and you can ask to adjust it anytime during the massage.

No need to worry. We book the spa in advance and arrange it around your MRI schedule so everything flows smoothly.

Yes. Please inform us early with your preferred date and time so we can check availability and rebook. Note: if you reschedule the spa separately from the MRI day, you'll need to travel to the spa on your own — transportation support is not included for separate spa sessions.

Only as a light relaxation massage. Please inform the therapist about your back pain or disc issues on arrival so they can avoid strong pressure on sensitive areas and adjust the technique safely. This treatment helps relax muscles and reduce tension — it is not a medical or therapeutic treatment for spine conditions.

Service Fees & Payment

The service fee is all-inclusive: pre-scan consultation, priority booking, a personal tour guide throughout the journey, transportation, the MRI scan fee at the hospital (except for the Basic package, which is booking support only), and support in receiving and understanding your results.

Yes. We accept international cards (Visa/Mastercard), bank transfer, or cash — whichever is most convenient for you.

Yes. We support bank transfer and will send you the bank details when you book the service.

It depends on the package. Basic package: no refund, only schedule change. MRI packages: 100% refund if cancelled at least 5 days in advance; 50% refund if cancelled within 24 hours to 5 days; no refund for cancellations under 24 hours. Please notify us as early as possible.

No. As long as you inform us within the allowed time (Basic: 6 hours in advance; MRI packages: 8 hours in advance), rescheduling is completely free.

Yes. We can customize a combo package based on your needs, including MRI screening, blood tests, and spa relaxation in one streamlined schedule. Share your screening goals and availability and we'll arrange everything with a bundled price.

After-Service & Follow-up

Yes. Once the results are ready, the radiologist explains the findings in the report, and our team can walk you through the report in simpler terms so you understand the next steps. For clinical decisions, we coordinate with a qualified doctor — we do not provide medical diagnosis ourselves.

Yes. We keep a digital copy of your results and MRI image links for a limited period so you can request them again if needed. All records are handled with privacy and consent — we don't share your medical information with third parties without your permission. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

Yes. If your MRI results show any abnormalities or you'd like further evaluation, we can recommend and help book an appointment with a suitable specialist. Let us know your availability and we'll arrange it quickly.

Yes. We'll organize your results into one clear medical file, including the detailed report, MRI image links, and related test results (if any). You can send this directly to your personal doctor for review.
